They do now. It was banned in the 12th century and started getting unbanned in the 16th. Which is the window when Europe was basically Catholics and Jews and not much of anybody else. Also when the economy was starting to rev up and become international and then global. When banks started to really matter. And of course everybody that’s ever been denied a loan, or been repossessed hates bankers, which were all Jews for 400 years.
Also there was the whole blaming Jews for kill Jesus thing. Really the Catholic just basically decided everybody should hate the Jews and set the table for that.
Part of the problem was that the Passion narratives in the Gospels put the blame for Jesus being condemned to death on the Jewish leaders (although it was Pontius Pilate who gave the order--crucifixion was a Roman method of execution). Ignorant Christians in later times then believed that contemporary Jews had inherited the guilt for Jesus' death--even though in Christian belief Jesus' death was necessary for humanity to be saved and everyone was guilty because of original sin.
you are full of crap.....the Catholic church has been aligned with Jews for as long as I can remember....
