Alex Murdaugh, the patriarch of a prominent South Carolina family, seemed to have it all: a loving wife, two beautiful sons, and a successful law career. However, his presumably happy facade would soon crumble and his wife, Maggie, and youngest son, Paul, would be shot to death on the Murdaugh family land on June 7, 2021.

Simplest solution.
A drug addict got behind the wheel.
Evil is as evil does.....................
I don’t think Alex was alone when his wife and kid were killed. Alex may not have done it but he was surely there.
Why?
2 guns 300 blackout and 12 guage.
2 kinds of 12 guage ammo. Buck shot and bird shot.
It looks like an experienced killer. A shot to the gut to bowl them over then a shot to the top of the head to finish them. Classic teamwork.
What I’m curious about is why is this particular murder trial of National interest?
Gruesome murders go on trial somewhere almost everyday. Why does this one warrant live coverage on all major news sources?
$$$
When he was in the car with the police that night of the murders and going over his history of that day, he said something to the effect of ‘... I went to see my mother and then I went BACK to the kennels...”
It was pointed out that he hadn’t mentioned going there at all that day so why did he ‘go back to the kennels’?
His ocean front property was used for smuggling. That was the crux of his land deals, buying secretive properties.
This guy makes Epstein look like a choir boy.
It may have been simply a way to take the heat off him for a period of time and it did exactly that for a few weeks.
Well it’s news when an upper class, white lawyer kills his wife and son. Not to mention all the threads of drug use, embezzlement, boat crash, death and politics.
He was smuggling in drugs using his ocean front property. I doubt if Alex was the kingpin. His law partners sure kept their heads in the sand long enough.
Alex was about to be bankrupted by the ‘boat case’ caused by his drunken son Paul.
Alex’s lies about stealing from the law firm and clients were also about to be exposed.
“The love of money is the root of all evil”
I have wondered this from the beginning. It’s on the news every day and his trial is on the news live?
Also, he’s not been proven as the murderer as yet. I have not been following long but heard the past two days of trial and sounds innocent. Of course I know he’s going to try to sound innocent but what if he is? Why is everyone so convinced he’s not?
I enjoyed listening to Murdaugh talk. He has an authentic, native SC accent. Also he uses all the idiosyncratic SC phrases and tics.
“””What I’m curious about is why is this particular murder trial of National interest?

Until I started watching this trial, I had no idea of the level of corruption among the lawyers, bankers, and politicians in the South Carolina Low Country.
Yea. That’s why I think it was a drug fueled murder suicide gone bad. He blamed his son and wife for his troubles.
My theory is that Alex blamed Paul’s boating accident for the beginning of the unraveling of their comfortable lives, and his wife appeared to be in the process of separating from him.
He might have thought that killing both of them would slow down the financial meltdown. Whatever his twisted reasoning was, I’m sure he thought he could get away with it.
The Murdaughs sure were sloppy about handling and storing guns. Imagine a blackout goes missing and they shrug it off? Very strange.
I concur with that question ... people are murdered every day in ChiCongo, Detroit, and other democrat run hives. I guess I am numb to it all - who really gives a fook?
