RE: anybody see Everything, Everywhere? I am intrigued.
I saw the movie. It was a little disorienting

Not the adjective I would have chosen 🙃

Seriously, let's think like the type of people who inhabit AMPAS (the Oscar people). You have to try to overcome the aftermath of the POC violent incident from the previous year, but simultaneously build upon your everythingbutconservativewhitesupremacist cred (meaning Top Gun doesn't have a chance). So you pick the one film that will emphasize an Asian cast--a group of people who have been getting the Oscar shaft over the years--and that way no one can question your DEI, while at the same time not having to worry about another POC incident.

Twitter upset that Jaime Lee won over Angela claiming it is racist. Yet they ignore all the Asians that won.

Everything, Everywhere was not my choice, but it is an important film for conservatives to see.

It embodies the outlook of young people today, and the future they are aiming to build.

One of those films like Easy Rider in the 1960s or Clueless in the 1990s that points towards the future of good or ill.
