Didn’t this paper-hanger, as Dr. Savage calls him, beat the drums for the crazy Iraq war as well?

+++++++++++

You are exactly right. I remember it quite clearly as this is when I first started to listen to Sean. He was lock-stock-barrel for sending other folks kids to war. Somethings never change, but my opinion of him sure has. Savage is right.

“when I first started to listen to Sean. He was lock-stock-barrel for sending other folks kids to war.”

There’s never a shortage of these guys. Hugh Hewitt is another one who somehow didn’t enlist in the infantry but thinks that a good war is a glorious thing.

The funny thing about the way that the world is now is that we are far less protected by our two oceans than we were before. A really angry foe can reach out and cause real damage here in the good old USA in a lot of different ways, few of which have to be actual military action. James Burke’s “Connections” could serve as a primer for how technology has inadvertently increased that risk.
