Generally, the earlier you confront evil, the less damage it does.

Are we our brother’s keeper? Even if our brother does not take care of himself?

I see both sides of this debate.

The first thing they teach you in lifesaving class is “Do not allow the person you are trying to rescue drown you!” Why save Europe(again), if Europe is not willing to save itself?

I always try to understand the greater picture. To help with this, I just watched an excellent video on the relationship and border disputes between Russia and China. I highly recommend it.

that is an interesting take but the reality is

we can flood the world with oil and this would be over as quickly as it began.

If Biden didn’t double the price before the invasion, there would be no invasion.

Western Europe has been basking under the U.S. “nuclear umbrella” since the late ‘40s. That’s how the Eurotrash countries can afford all that social welfare crap the Democrats demand we emulate here. EU countries spend very little out of their GDP on armaments because Uncle Sugar protects them. “Progressives” threw a poo flinging fit when Trump even hinted at leaving NATO because that would expose why Europe can have “free” child care, college, health care, housing, etc., but America never can, as long as it’s spending trillions protecting Europe and, for all practical purposes, subsidizing the European welfare states.

>>>Are we our brother’s keeper?

When Cain asked God this question, God didn’t answer it. He considered the question a deflection from the fact that Cain killed his brother.

Of course, the idea of being one’s brother’s keeper is ridiculous, unless you consider your brother to be a domesticated animal.

1. The U.S. is long past the point where it has any business calling anyone else “evil.”

2. I can’t imagine why anyone on this site would hitch his wagon to a foreign/military policy that has the support of Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Lindsey Graham and Mitt Romney. Just the names themselves are repulsive enough to turn any principled American conservative off.

That has been my view of this from the start. The real threat to Russia is in the East and South. What must the riches of Siberia look like to Beijing? And what does Russia's vaunted military prowess seem after a year of blood and treasure wasted in a cesspool of vodka and incompetence.

Not speaking in favor of the kleptocrats in Kyev (or Washington). Everybody is guilty of weakening themselves as China sits and watches.
