To: Tolerance Sucks Rocks

Poor guy.

In industrial plants, chemical plants, power plants, refineries, etc, you have lock-outs so the power cannot be turned on when you are inside the equipment. You can put your own personal lock on the breakers to prevent somebody making a mistake like this. I doubt cement trucks have that safety precaution. It would have saved this guys life.

There is a kill switch that can be tagged
for lockout. They are also typically
roped off with warning signs that state
“Do Not Operate”
Someone didn’t follow proper safety
procedures. There are workers that
climb inside these mixers on a
regular basis for clean-out of
concrete that has dried inside usually
just after a pour and a lengthy return
to the yard.
These safety rules are typically OSHA
driven, as this certainly isn’t the first
time this has happened. Big fines are due
the company owner if these procedures
weren’t followed.
I suspect foul play. Someone didn’t like
this guy.
