Classy Green Eyed Blonde ended up being a dude. It irked a lot of the old-timers here because many of us flirted with “her”, only to find the truth out later in rather embarrassing fashion.

I remember that. And Ash Alerts and A+Bert, eschoir, (sp?) Deep in the Hurtgen Forest, Registered’s hilarious graphics and a lot from those days.

I tried to sign up in 1998 after seeing an article in the paper about a big FReep in DC with ReJoyce (whom I met at a Houston FReep a few years later) but it glitched, so I just lurked for a couple of years. I signed up in early 2001. It glitched again, but I sent an e-mail and somebody got it fixed.

Humblegunner was one of the many Houston FReepers that formed a coalition/FR chapter and we FReeped leftist rallies, among other things, in those early days. We had a lot of fun back then.
