Also, about the only gun control law I'm in favor of is to have those on certain SSRIs or psychological drugs be put on temporary (or permanent) NICS ban. Once the patient sees the MD and a PharmD fills the script, should go right to NICS.

I’ve been wondering that myself. She worked for Shipt and also did graphic design. I’m guessing her parents didn’t charge her rent, so whatever money she earned went to guns and ammo.
The fact that Audrey hid the guns from her parents so they wouldn’t know that she still owned them is an admission by her (subconsciously) that what she wanted to do with them was wrong. Otherwise, she would have kept them someplace visible and held her ground if she was just a guns enthusiast.
It’s like when alcoholics hide their liquor. They hide it because they know they will get a talking to if they drank openly. It’s a subconscious admission of guilt.
