Ad-supported seems to be the most popular.

Those are okay, except that some run up to 8 short ad that do run several minutes in frequent clusters. Some run as few as one or two per ad break.

Peacock runs a few ads at the beginning of a movie, and then have no more ads until the end of the movie.

I heard one exec of Hulu several years ago say they intended to eventually increase the advertising amount to the level ads are on broadcast/network/cable/satellite now.

I've been streaming free movies with ads and I use the ad time to check my social media (like here on Free Republic) or go to the bathroom. Ads don't bother me. Paying the $12/mo or whatever it is did bother me because sometimes I'll go three months without watching anything and will have paid $36 for nothing.

To answer other posters on this thread, Netflix having "woke" content doesn't bother me and that wasn't why I cancelled it. I just don't click on that content. I would think it silly if a Democrat cancelled Netflix for having a Trump documentary. All they have to do is ignore it like I ignore their stuff.
