A college student in Minnesota has been arrested after prosecutors say they found evidence that he was "planning a mass casualty event."
On April 5, custodians at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, discovered empty boxes which once contained ammunition and high-capacity magazines in a garbage can outside one of the dorms. The custodians alerted authorities, who reportedly traced the packages to a dorm resident, 20-year-old sophomore Waylon Kurts, a member of the St. Olaf track team.
In Kurts' dorm room, investigators allegedly discovered a trove of weapons and tactical gear, including knives, a protective vest, propane, fireworks, information about local radio frequencies, a lock pick set, and firearm earmuffs and magazines, though no actual firearms.
They also allegedly found several notebooks detailing Kurts' plans to steal additional ammunition from Walmart as well as a map of the St. Olaf campus, where Kurts noted various entry and exit points at a recreational facility.
One section of the notebook even discussed the best places to aim for on the human body. "Shoot a person in 3 areas: Upper thorasic [sic], T-zone on face, Pelvis is a good target," Kurts wrote, according to the criminal complaint. "7/10 people shot with handguns survive. Shoot a lot," he allegedly wrote elsewhere.
In subsequent searches of his phone and vehicle, police say they discovered that Kurts had a co-conspirator. In one particularly disturbing text, Kurts reportedly sent the individual a picture of a campus bench with the message "Kids’ve got no idea what's in here, haha."

“Magazines”? Seriously? How many folks here have a list like this? Except for the lock pick set in some states, are any of these illegal to own??? Being in possession of these makes you guilty of mass murder?
We have to be careful how we judge these situations. We might be next for what we happen to have in our possession.
I’m screwed.. I buy repo’d cars (even do a bit of repossessions myself) much of what is on his list I own, some is even in my Truck.

I suspect all school shooters have someone encouraging them. That’s why they destroy their hard drive.
Maybe that’s where the lock picks come in. But WalMart has cameras everywhere. This seems pretty half-baked.

Hope those alert custodians are very generously rewarded. The miscreant student should be named and any future school that admits him should be liable for whatever harm he causes imo. If colleges don’t require background checks on students now, they’d be wise to start imo.
Where is the crime?
Don’t go by just the title. They also found notebooks and text messages on his phone in which he wrote out what he was planning to do and where.

My honest guess at WHO is pushing these people into this type of carnage is the FBI, I FIRMLY believe that they are on line provoking these people instead of stopping them!! EVERYONE of these people have been on psychotropic pharmaceuticals, FBI knows who these people are, this government IS GOING ALL OUT to take our firearms the end justify the means THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN about the damage done!!
Very unusual for blue state law enforcement to do anything to prevent a mass casualty event. Maybe it’s because there were no guns? (Don’t know because I didn’t read the whole article).
