The NFL has made it very clear that gambling on games won't be tolerated and five different players found that out the hard way on Friday. The NFL has announced that Stanley Berryhill III, Jameson Williams, Quintez Cephus, C.J. Moore and Shaka Toney have all been suspended for gambling.
The Lions were hit the hardest by the suspensions with four players being banned (Berryhill, Williams, Cephus, and Moore) while Toney plays for the Commanders. The most notable name on the list is Williams, who was the 12th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

I know a lot of you guys aren't Lions fans but Jameson Williams was the 12th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, he was available because he was injured and would sit out the 2022 season. He's potentially the fastest wide receiver or player in the NFL. We've been licking our chops to get a look at him. Now we've got to wait 6 more games of suspension before he gets to go. We'll see, hopefully he's not some sort of dumba$$ who can't follow the rules.
Personally, I've seen several people who ruined their lives (went to jail) because of gambling, I don't see the good it does.
Simulated gambling can be done on an air-gapped computer.
Way cheaper than the real thing.

What hypocrites! The NFL is going to allow betting at stadiums, takes gambling advertising - and owners from its two biggest franchises are owners of gambling websites!
There’s a team in Lax Vegas and now the NFL is concerned about gambling. A clear message needs to come out. That NBA from Bud Light is sitting home now. Maybe she can join the league and help straighten out the confusion.
Nobody has the luck to beat the casinos consistently.

My thoughts exactly. They took away Rose's career... these clowns get a SHORT suspension period.

Do baseball and football have different rules regarding gambling?
How did they take away Pete Rose’s career? His career was over when he was banned from baseball.
