Ping!................
Now, if they could take some features out of it. No fooling, it takes my WIN10 desktop six minutes to boot up.
That itself is its best feature. I don't know how many times I have left things unsaved overnight only to have Microsoft lose it through a forced upgrade reboot.
Except for that fact that 80% of the PCs running windows 10 CANNOT upgrade to Windows 11.
This is forced obsolescence.
Evidently you can install win11 on older hardware with some hacks. I’ve not tried it yet.

Windows 7 is working great on my laptop, without annoying updates.
I use Office 365. Why can’t Microsoft figure out a way to do updates without requiring me to do a reboot? So stupid.
What gets me about high tech outfits is their KISS OF DEATH to old operating system.
Bill Gates buried a time bomb in Windows XP and too may users got booted of in other words — LOCKED OUT. End of support should not be a ticket to force you to discontinue personal usage.

Dang, I just bought a Windows 10 HP refurb because TurboTax no longer worked on my Windows 7 desktop. Now, if Family Tree Maker stops working on Windows 10, I am totally FUBAR.
"Windows 12 will likely be released in late 2024. Codenamed "Next Valley," Microsoft has already revealed a prototype desktop redesign. We also expect changes to the lock screen and notification center, as well as AI integration throughout the operating system."

The programming they call "AI" is scary when they insist on integrating it "throughout the operating system".
that’ll create a hardware dilemma for many
Liked Windows 8 better at least it had a chess game now updated to 10 nothing but kid games PU.

Thanks to Red badger for the ping!
>> all editions of Windows 10 will be supported with monthly security updates until October 14th, 2025,
Been mulling over when to retire... 12/12/25 looks attractive! 😆
Hey, I have something in common with Microshaft!
