Whither Ukraine’s Counteroffensive?

SNIP

Last week, NATO’s top commander, US Army General Christopher Cavoli stated that the Russian army operating in Ukraine is larger than when the Kremlin launched its special military operation and the Ukrainians “have to be better than the Russian force they will face” and decide when and where they will strike.

SNIP

He said at one point in his written testimony, “Russian air, maritime, space, cyber, and strategic forces have not suffered significant degradation in the current war. Moreover, Russia will likely rebuild its future Army into a sizeable and more capable land force… Russia retains a vast stockpile of deployed and non-deployed nuclear weapons, which present an existential threat to the US.”

Clearly, the entire narrative of lies and obfuscation created by the neocons in the Biden Administration through the past year has unravelled. The balance sheet shows there is nothing to justify the massive amount of aid to Ukraine through the past one-year period — in excess of $100 billion dollars, which is pro rata vastly more than what the US had spent in the twenty years of war in Afghanistan.

Gen. Cavoli’s testimony came soon after the leaked Pentagon documents recently, which has presented a grim picture of the state of Kiev’s military preparedness and the Biden Administration’s lack of confidence in the Zelensky regime.

The Pentagon documents echoed, in effect, a January study titled Avoiding a Long War by the RAND Corporation, which recommended that “the paramount US interest in minimising escalation risks should increase the US interest in avoiding a long war (in Ukraine). In short, the consequences of a long war — ranging from persistent elevated risks to economic damage — far outweigh the possible benefits.”

Time for Ukraine to go to the peace table even if it means giving up Crimea and some Russian occupied territory.

The advertising of the coming counter offensive was designed to clue the Russians into where and when the weapons and munitions would most likely be stored giving Russian planners ample time to plan an attack and carry it out.

All of this was designed to further deplete US and NATO ammo and equipment stocks making a bad situation worse and a reason to carry on a lost and hopeless war and further harm Americans with the loss and waste of valuable costly arms and ammo.

Or be willing to fight to the last democratic, CIA operative!

Maybe some deluded pro-Biden/pervert supporters here can volunteer for the Uke army?

My guess is that there will be some kind of “shock & awe” campaign that will be intense and have successes but will last only for a few days, then it’ll peter out and get rolled over by russkie missiles, artillery & armor with lots and lots of Uke military & civilian casualties.

Then US/NATO will directly engage in a hot war against the russkies [with no declaration of war], or simp away with their tails between their legs. One or the other, but I don’t really see a continued ‘slow grind’ like over the last year.

“You are very generous with their land.”

Then let them defend it without our help.

But as long as we’re paying the bills and supplying the hardware, we determine when Ukraine goes to the table, and hold a veto over their bottom line.

Frankly, they don’t even get a vote.

If that were the case, I'd be in favor of keeping the war going.

The effect of the Russian invasion has been to reinvigorate the West’s weapons manufacturing industries and increase military budgets.

It’s not really their land.
It belongs to the Bidens, the Bushes, the Clintons, the Cheneys, the Obamas, Soros ...

Not to worry. The escalation of the conflict has already started with the attempted assassination of Putin. It’ll get Zelensky out of the way since his usefulness is waning to the Deep State because he’s losing the war. Somehow the US and NATO will find an excuse to get directly involved in the Ukraine in a big way.

With NATO wiring up the Ukraine with sensors to detect nuclear explosions

and the Ruskies breaking out the T-55 tanks that can deal with a nuclear war scenario, we should have a nuke war (regional?) soon.

Russia shot down 2 drones.

During the shoot down of one drone, 2 men were on the ladder-catwalk leading up to the flag pole:

That drone had just flown past the flag pole that is situated above the Kremlin dome, when the drone was hit by a defense system.

Back story:

A careless, dilettante, thoughtless Ukrainian businessman, Volodymyr Yatsenko, announced a contest back in April:

“Competition for drone manufacturers to land a drone on Red Square in Moscow during Victory Day on May 9th”

Which shows that the drone was not some kind of armed attack drone. Those guys would have been dead if the drone was an actual attack drone.

The author is from India, a country aligned with Russia. Here is what he says about his career:

"Roughly half of the 3 decades of my diplomatic career was devoted to assignments on the territories of the former Soviet Union and to Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan."

Sounds like a guy with close ties to enemies of the USA.

Maybe the vaunted Russian army should give up instead. In a year they have moved the front line near Donetsk by about 5 kilometers, or 3 miles.

At that rate they will capture the whole of Ukraine in a few hundred years.

the attempted assassination of Putin

Nobody with a brain thinks there was a real attempt to assassinate Putin. More likely there was some false flag by a Russian operative to divert attention from Russian failures to defend their oil supplies in Crimea.

Those dumb Russians just keep shooting themselves in the foot, don’t they? First it was the Nordstream Pipeline. Now it’s drone. Next thing you know they’ll just nuke themselves!

Remember, it’s never the Americans’ fault because the Americans are the good guys and Putin and the Ruskies are just plain evil!
