Prince Harry and Meghan and her mother were involved in a "near catastrophic car chase" involving paparazzi photographers, a spokesperson for the prince has said.
The incident lasted over two hours and resulted in multiple near collisions, the spokesperson said.
“This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD (New York Police Department) officers,” they added.
“While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone's safety.
“Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all in involved.”
It followed Meghan’s attendance at Tuesday night’s Ms Foundation for Women’s 50th anniversary gala event in Manhattan with her husband, Prince Harry, and mother Doria Ragland.

Who is stupid enough to go on a chase through NYC....trying to emulate Diana?? This was totally uncalled for.

Exactly, Nobody should be in danger because their driver should never "speed" away. Just abide by traffic law and get tinted windows.

There’s footage of them gettin into a black suv w/tinted windows. Then there’s pics of them in a cab. Wonder why they got in the cab?

Why would Harry’s car speed up and create a chase scenario? Just go where you are going, and stop speeding. Therefore, no chase.
