I never had that attitude about self-checkout. For me, it is a godsend. Gets me out of the store much quicker without having to queue behind people who always seem to be fumbling for methods of payment after everything is checked through (you mean I have to pay for all this!) and then dealing with the mentally challenged bag boy who always seems to put my heavy cans of tomatoes on top of my fragile produce.
I never have an issue scanning my own groceries and bagging them properly. Then I swipe the payment and head for the parking lot.
In and out. That's what it's all about.
The .10 cent cost charged for bags is I believe a way of buying protection from the democrat party. I think that money goes to the democrats. The bags are still being used.
Just extra grift money.
Much as I hate the idea, paying for my burger before it's prepared where I cannot see what's going on??
I'm tipping them. Then I make an imaginary 'Sign of the Cross'! ;)
If I’m doing the work will I get to be employee of the month?
Maybe it’s them tipping the customer. Could be ….
Eh, no thanks. Unless the kiosk can bring things to my table, I ain’t tipping.
I’ll make the Sign of the Cross and then imagine tipping them. :-)
How long have you been delusional?
At a Thai restaurant in Garden Grove, CA, they did have waitresses, but when the food came it was on a self driving cart. Kinda bizarre ... I suppose it was inspired during the Covid Wars, as a way to make it appear that no one was touching your food.
Tip a machine?
Nah.
