US Courts recognize US vWong Kim Ark as precedent for natural born citizens born in the US.

Obama, Haley, Harris, Rubio and Jindal are all covered by it, Cruz is questionable although several courts ruled him eligible.

I believe that the case actually upheld the concept of ‘jus soli’ (citizenship based on place of birth). The term ‘Native born’ is an appropriate descriptor for jus soli. Natural born is not specifically mentioned in the decision, as I recall.

There are many legal scholars who agree with your position, conversely there are also many who agree with mine. This question will only be resolved by SCOTUS.

Well that's because they worship the idea of "precedent" I suppose because they don't have to actually weigh facts or think for themselves.

Wong Kim Ark was about whether a Chinese man could be a citizen despite the US treaty with China that prohibited it.

Everyone has since tried to pretend it applies to the qualifications for president, but that was not at all the question before the court, and this was back during a time when courts were actually more competent than they are now.

I noticed you dropped out of our last discussion on this matter. I thought you had ceased being interested in the topic.
