A nut jumped off the Pennybacker bridge in Austin, TX a few years ago. A ~130’ drop. He survived, thanks to a nearby boat watching the whole thing. He was picked up the moment he resurfaced and complained of a headache. Then he spent a brief recovery in the hospital.

The sad kid in the OP could have been knocked out or even broke his neck, depending on how far he fell.
