Great speech by President Trump tonight. There is a noticeable shift in his language from his previous campaigns. He speaks directly about the deep state and the need to dismantle it. In 2016 his message was that our government was being run by stupid people. Now he acknowledges that it’s corruption more than stupidity.
I suspect he understood that back in 2016 as well, but the message would have been harder to sell back then, so his criticisms of government emphasized incompetence rather than corruption. Now people can see the corruption for themselves in front of their very eyes.
It was one of his better speeches, for sure. He’s becoming more bold, calling everything out for what it is. Really going after the corruption.
