KEY POINTS
The PGA Tour agreed to merge with rival LIV Golf, which is backed by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, an entity controlled by the Saudi crown prince.
The proposed merger comes after the PGA Tour and LIV Golf have been embroiled in lawsuits regarding antitrust claims.

PGA caves?
America is for sale, but only at the right price.
All the protests were about just getting to number.
Is Saudi Money any better than ChiCom money?
This is a pretty big deal considering how at war they have been over the last couple of years.
They must have looked at the numbers and what the Saudi backed group would bring to the game in terms of money and figured it would be better to merge and drop all the animosity.
Haha, Trump truthed this about 6 months ago telling the players not to be dumb and get the money now. Looks like he was right on the negotiations. I wonder if the PGA will still use Trump properties.
"PIF [Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund] is prepared to invest billions of new capital into the new entity, CNBC’S David Faber reported on Tuesday. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed."
And who stands to benefit?
Smart move, delaying this would have hurt Golf.
“The agreement includes DP World Tour, also known as the European PGA Tour.”

“Is Saudi Money any better than ChiCom money?”
It is professional golfers, they have always been about the money, doesn’t matter where is is from.
What?
Europeans are taking over the NBA.
Among the many reasons I seldom if ever, watch sports or for that matter, ANYTHING on the idiot box hanging on my wall.
My 4k Samsung Curved TV displays mostly pictures I've taken over the years, in a slideshow. Probably the best use for it.
I think they already stopped using Trump properties. Maybe they'll start again, but I doubt it.
Not anytime soon, but the LIV tour continues to use a few of them.
Sounds like the PGA took a buyout? Or a dive?
