t seems as though things are starting to fall apart for Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
The couple is clamoring to ensure the youngest of their 19 children won't get a chance to see docuseries Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets - an exposé on the Duggars and their religious convictions - an insider told InTouch.
While the Duggar parents unequivocally 'don't want' the most junior members of their brood to see the explosive documentary, the anonymous source admitted it 'might be impossible' to keep their still-underage kids from it forever.
'There's no way around it,' the insider said. 'You can stick your head in the sand, but it's all anyone is talking about.'
'Some refuse to watch it, while others watch it in secret,' the source added.
Jim Bob, 57, and Michelle, 56, are still raising four children under the age of 18: Johannah, 17, Jennifer, 15, Jordyn-Grace, 14, and Josie, 13.
The four girls released an album titled Happy Hearts in 2018 that also features their 13-year-old niece, Mackynzie Renée - the firstborn to disgraced oldest child Josh and his wife, Anna.
It is currently the only item listed for sale on DuggarStore.com.
The tracks include a series of religious hymns as well as a rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner.
Speaking to the state of the Duggars more broadly, the source dished to InTouch that 'their family dynamic is literally collapsing.'
Just prior to the June 2 release of Shiny Happy People on Prime Video, Jim Bob and Michelle released a statement on The Duggar Family website.
It decried the series and argued it 'paints so much and so many in a derogatory and sensationalized way because sadly that's the direction of entertainment these days.'

I watched a bit of this “documentary”, because my kids were addicted to it.
It is amazingly crafted propaganda. The way they intermixed interviews and clips of these nutballs (the Duggars) with ordinary Christians, engaging in worship, witness, and outreach, was obviously meant to create an association in your mind with Duggarism and Christianity.
That family sure has issues.
Perhaps Jim Bob suffers from a certain hubris. He was so eager to put his family on TV, and create a certain public image. And they reportedly made some good money on the deal.
I knew they were fake from their fist special “14 Kids and Pregnant Again” I can’t believe so many fell for them.
I said all along they were full of it then when Josh did what he did now he’s in the Big House? It just sickens me that Jim Bob defends Josh and not his daughters. I want to barf everywhere.
I can’t see how a Christian family would make themselves and especially their Children a part of such a thing. Is that the life, a “Christian” life - being “popular on TV”, that Christians really ought to pursue. Do Christians really want others to worship them (”fans”) like, idols, when G-d warns against all forms of idol worship.
Are you blaming the parents? I’ve known people who parents tried everything they could to raise their children correctly, paying even extra attention to those children who just would not learn the right way to live. Their problem is having invested too much energy on him. There comes a time when the child must be let go, and realize that nothing will change a child that refuses to change.

Agreed but who could possibly think having a routine years and years long documentary of your family life - cameramen around all the time in your home - could possibly be a good idea?
The money provided resources that they had sacrificed to have the children. It’s a lure that many have succumbed to in life.
I am not convinced. He was a well paid man.
But whatever, to our own Master we stand or fall. I just questioned the wisdom of it.
I have no doubt the Duggars are Christian. Of course they’re going to be attacked by the world. However, raising kids is like making sausage. It’s better to enjoy the final product than to see how it’s made.
You are wasting your breath. Some people refuse to accept that some people are bad, they aren’t that way because they were raised badly.. they just are bad.
They know they are bad and choose to be bad regardless of everyone arounf Them trying to steer them right.
These people are sick and evil. One of the most hypocritical families who follows satan rather than Christ. Money is their god.
So, I am not sure what the reasoning was for having his family on display like that. I certainly wouldn't have liked it.
Sounds like he valued money way too much, which again is a seduction for most people. Even for the mega rich who are never satisfied with their wealth, because they desire more & more power that increases along with the money.
I agree, his wisdom in doing so, does right make it valid to question his wisdom in doing the show. Put yourself in the spot light, and all is well, until it isn't. With 19 children of their own and adopting a 20th child creates opportunities for one, or more, to become a cause for problems. Mainly because humans are far from being perfect.
He was a state senator or assemblyman, also, I believe.
I'm suspecting he didn't win that special election.
