I don't know what you mean by "normal people" but I am sure the poor people in Russia are normal people just like the poor people in America are normal people. They just happen to be poor for whatever reasons or decisions caused them to end up in that situation.

How do you make the leap from “normal people” to poor people from the comment? I am referring to the mentally ill overwhelming the cities here and gang bangers when I am referring to Baltimore. Russia has it’s pockets of poverty as do most countries, but last time I looked they had a dearth of gangbangers assaulting folks on their urban streets compared to the US
