He still doesn't get it! Tone deaf Anheuser-Busch CEO won't rule out Bud Light working with Dylan Mulvaney AGAIN - and then says firm needs to 'appreciate' what the consumer wants - despite debacle costing firm $20 BILLION and counting

Anheuser-Busch's CEO has refused to rule out partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney again – as he avoided answering how much the marketing blunder had cost Bud Light.

Brendan Whitworth, US CEO, insisted that his priority was his employees and added that they had poured three times the amount of investment into Bud Light for this year - as the company has lost a staggering $20billion in market cap.

Speaking to CBS Mornings, Whitworth was asked if he would send Mulvaney, 26, another can, knowing the backlash.

But instead of giving a definitive answer, the CEO instead launched into a pre-rehearsed speech about the 'social conversation' that the disaster campaign caused

Whitworth added that they 'need to deeply understand the consumer' and 'appreciate' what they want' from the brand, as he was blasted on social media for doing a 'dismal job'.

He was then challenged over his refusal to answer, with Tony Dokoupil asking if the decision was a mistake - as sales for the beer dropped a staggering 28.5 percent.

Whitworth again avoided the question, saying: 'As we move forward we want to focus on what we do best, which is brewing great beer for everyone, listening to our consumers, being humble in listening to them.

'Making sure that we do right by our employees, take care and support our partners, and ultimately make an impact in the communities that we serve.'

He added that Bud Light 'doesn't belong' in the 'divisive conversation' around the marketing move, saying that it has 'moved away from beer'.

The CEO said that the impact on the employees is his responsibility, and that 'everything we do, I'm accountable for'.

I can’t imagine turning your business plan upside-down, and assuming that if you can bring in five-million non-drinking-Bud LGTBQ-plus people to buy your product...’things will improve’ financially.

At the present pace....the distribution side can downsize by 20-to-30 percent by the end of the year. I’d forget about bonus activity for the board in 2023.

(I’ll just say for diet-beer...the Bud-Light taste is crap. There must be thirty options existing, with a better taste.)

I’ve just “Transitioned” from not drinking AB products to Actively campaigning to help other people to leave their brands on the shelf. To Hell with AB; we can ALL get along without them.

Lot’s of company CEO’s are total idiots, the title doesn’t make you competent or smart. Like the CEO of that Titan mini-sub.

I personally think Mr. Whitworth should resign. And the Budweiser board should appoint Dylan Mulvaney to replace him.
As the Brits would say, in for a penny in for a pound.

He needs Dylan, the woke chick, and the trannies. I am never buying another AB product again, not just bud light, ANY AB PRODUCT EVER AGAIN. He needs to recruit one regular trans consumer for every average consumer lost just to break even.

CEO Whitworth would have approved the marketing strategy and he should be fired for destroying the brand.

Whitworth was in the US Marines for 3 years (as a lieutenant OCS out of Bucknell Univ) and then in the CIA for 6 years.

He then went to Harvard Business School in 2006-2008, and after that, worked for Frito-Lay before Budweiser

I’m always interested in the intersection of deep-state politics, the security-state, and big business. Its SO common in the USA these days.

This has to be a planned destruction. Let’s find out who is shorting stick.

My guess is that he will be out in the next share holders meeting.
