They may go back, once people complain. I would make a point of asking one of the employees to get prices for you. They can just walk alongside you.

I don't think their policy is going to last.

I have never seen a loose employee at Aldi other than the lone cashier.

even better, assuming they have conventional checkout at which point you can see the actual prices, set aside the items you think cost too much and get a clerk to remove them from the checkout list ... if enough people do that, they’ll quickly put back human readable prices ...

Better yet, just throw whatever you “might” want in your cart, then filter them at the register. Make them put back craploads of items after you price them.
