When I lived in New Zealand from 1982 to 1984 and we visited the hot springs and bubbling mud area in Rotorua (in about the middle of the North Island), we were warned as kids to keep a safe distance away from the bubbling mud. My Dad had a coworker down there who in turn knew someone who got a little carelessly close to a bubbling mud area and got a very nasty scald/burn from being hit by some of that hot mud. I can’t imagine the consequences of this person’s stupidity in this instance.
“the consequences of this person’s stupidity”
Third degree burns, I would expect.
