We really need to find out why this happens. Yes everyone wants blood but this is just going to happen again and more frequently.
This type of incident isn’t even isolated enough to be called abnormal anymore.

The answer to the first query is Original Sin. The answer to the observation that this is going to happen again and more frequently is two-fold: 1) With the application of the "blood" remedy, this young man in particular will not commit this crime--or any other, or do anything at all--ever again. So on those grounds, it helps right there, not least because psychopaths like that young man tend to commit crimes like the one described repeatedly, until they are stopped. Death would stop this one, saving many victims he would otherwise attack.
Another important factor is that psychopaths are crazy, but not necessarily stupid. They have at least a primitive sense of cause and effect, and a primitive desire to stay alive.
A third fact is possibly the most important. Killing a psychopath who committed unjust, premeditated violence and sacrilege against an innocent woman's honor is just. If we wish to survive as a society, or even to have our souls survive the judgment of God, we must defend and avenge the innocent in His name.
There may be some who say they don't believe in God, but they get no vote, because they cannot explain where they themselves come from, or why they have a sense--even a misinformed one--of justice at all.

Glad to inform you. It is called unrestrained evil. Dying cultures always produce that type behavior. Just look at what is going on in France just now.
I think it was John Mills who said that when you protect fools from the consequences of their folly, you populate the earth with fools.
Well, this kid looks INSANE, so not sure he’s a perfect example. But basically these things happen more and more because they are punished less and less.
We used to execute people (women too!) for pretty much any murder. Kill your spouse for money, executed. Kill your spouse for jealousy, executed, kill a stranger, executed, etc.
Now almost no murderers get executed for any murder.
If we just started really punishing crime again it would diminish. Or even it it didn’t the total amount of murderers alive at any given time would diminish.
