In two acts of compassion, the dedicated members of the Cherry Hill Fire Department have once again proven that their devotion to saving lives knows no bounds.
Demonstrating their commitment to the well-being of all living creatures, these firefighters have recently undertaken rescues involving not only adorable pups but also ducklings and kittens.
Several weeks ago, the responders of Squad 13 found themselves involved in a rescue mission as they came to the aid of a family of stranded ducklings. The ducklings had inadvertently fallen into a storm drain, leaving them separated from their watchful mother.
The firefighters successfully retrieved the ducklings from their predicament. Throughout the entire rescue operation, the anxious mother duck kept a close eye on the operation.
Finally, the ducklings were joyously reunited with their relieved mother, marking a triumphant conclusion to a truly touching rescue mission.
Just last week, the team from Ladder 1324 was called upon to rescue a trapped kitten. Reports of the feline’s distress emanated from beneath the hood of a car, where the curious creature had become lodged in the engine compartment.
The firefighters extracted the frightened kitten unharmed from its confined space.
Just for you, a non-downer story.
God bless toxic masculinity!
Awwww!
Thanks.
Kelly Severide and Sylvie Brett to Chief Wallace Boden:
“Hey, are you tearing up?”
Boden: Just something in my eye. That Canadian wildfire pollution is bad here in Chicago.” 🚒🚒
What is good still exists.
All in a day’s work
Home of Mary Hill?
One of my kittens got stuck inside a car left front fender by sneaking through the front portion of the wheel well barrier. I was wondering why I couldn’t find the source of meowing while I went to work. At work, I located the cat. I had no tools to get him out. Called the dealer I bought the car from ( Saturn)...and they sent out a rep in 2 hours and he freed the cat!! That was Saturn in those days.
Of course, I renamed the cat “Freddy Fender.”
A lady cop with attitude was rousting me for a stop sign violation.
I was disputing the ticket when a hen and her ducklings was trying to cross a busy street.
I looked at her and sad: serve and protect.
The lady cop stopped the traffic and helped mom get her ducks in a row
