I am getting better. I’m still not back to my March levels of energy, etc. It takes longer for those with an autoimmune disease to get over even slight illnesses and infections. As the doc said when I went over my toenail infection (remember, dropped a board on the toe a while back), “You have plenty of white cells. They just don’t work well.”
You’re more in tune than I am, I had no idea what that was.

Oh dear, Jem. I hope your healing starts to move along faster....it must be very frustrating for you. I’m glad to hear that you’re heading in the right direction.
If I’m in tune at all, it’s only because of the grands. I guess all the kids were doing the floss thing awhile back. My grandson can do it a mile a minute. What purpose it serves, well, that’s debatable. We wish he could pull weeds that fast.

Yes they were a beautiful family -I loved wife/her exotic oriental look and the touch of the same with the children. the dogs are adorable. Life is unpredictable. We failed to capture the moment. Wouldnât it have been nice to see that video while Gub was still alive so we could talk about it and brag on him?

Remember they tried to brand Nixon as a crook.
He gave a speech called, I believe, his Checkers speech, named after his dog.
He stated, “I’m not a crook!”

The Checkers speech or Fund speech was an address made on September 23, 1952, by Senator Richard Nixon (R-CA), six weeks before the 1952 United States presidential election, in which he was the Republican nominee for Vice President. Nixon had been accused of improprieties relating to a fund established by his backers to reimburse him for his political expenses. His place was in doubt on the Republican ticket, so he flew to Los Angeles and delivered a half-hour television address in which he defended himself, attacked his opponents, and urged the audience to contact the Republican National Committee (RNC) to tell it whether he should remain on the ticket. During the speech, he stated that he intended to keep one gift, regardless of the outcome: a black-and-white Cocker Spaniel that his children had named Checkers, thus giving the address its popular name.
