So your retirement is predicated on 3-6 months a year in Europe? Or go back into corporate hell? I guess you’ve seen all of the USA then. I’m in my 50s and have 1 state left to visit, and many sites in those states I didnt get to, but want to visit. That said I’d much rather spend my money in my own country, supporting our local business owners. Sometimes even the ones I shouldn’t, if I’m visiting a liberal place with things I want to see.
Spend your money in this country supporting our economy.

Europe, Asia, Caribbean, South America, Canada, plus domestic travel. I haven't been everywhere in the US obviously, but quite a bit, a lot of cities a ton (eg: probably been to NYC ~80 times in the last 10 years [all for work], Miami/FL ~25 times, Charleston ~15 times). I don't actually intend to go back into the work force after I retire at ~45ish, was being a bit facetious. I don't think all these airports and flights will go away anyway - just a bit more expensive, which won't impact me materially.

I do my part to support our country, my wife a lot more, and my taxes paid are insane at this point so definitely doing my part there. "The rich don't pay their fair share" isn't true when your income is W2 income. I'll average ~43% income tax rate over the next 3 years till I retire between state + fed.
