“I don’t think we’ll ever get to the 2024 election. Things will implode in Washington before that.”
— Colonel Douglas Macgregor
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
Macgregor says things will implode before the next election and that banks will likely close. Violence in cities he says will spread. Ukraine he says will lose the war and completely collapse.
Nice...
had to look him up since everyone is an “expert” in 2023.
A) He retired asa full-bird Colonel. The best officers rarely become Generals. The best politicians become Generals!
so theres a good sign that he was not a dog and pony style beauraucratic officer.
B) pick through the snippets in wikipedia and you can tell that he’s on our side of history
“President Donald Trump proposed Macgregor as ambassador to Germany, but the Senate blocked the nomination.”
” Trump also controversially appointed him to the board of West Point Academy, his alma mater.[”
“Macgregor opposes diversity or affirmative action programmes in the military, including women serving in combat.”
In other words — he’s a non-conformist to the system and I’m fine with that!
Guess I should be happy I’m retired and far away from where I used to work. . . . . .Detroit.
“and that banks will likely close”
IF and or when that happens, then yeah things can and will happen very very quickly. As soon as the supply chain stops functioning then ALL BETS ARE OFF!
I think that if theres a critical break in the supply chain somewhere, be it money, fuel, food, electricity, then it will happen faster then they implemented the covid crisis/lockdowns.
The industrialized world of 9+ billion people ONLY sustains itself because the world has an incredible webbed supply chain. Cut that chain/access and you can no longer sustain 9+ billion people.
RESULT: MILLIONS/BILLIONS DEAD until stability takes over again.
It will be to the likes that we have never seen before. And it all happened because the election was stolen from Trump.
I’ve been saying for a while that the 2020’s will be the most world altering decade since the 1940’s. We are in for a ride. For you elder Freepers.........enjoy EVERYTHING you have now because it simply won’t be there in 2030 (and perhaps YOU won’t be here)
He would make a good National Security Advisor.
I say this because the Senate will block everything else i.e Defense Secretary.
So make him National Security Advisor ...
“I say this because the Senate will block everything else i.e Defense Secretary.”
Thats the root cause of the problem—The senate blocking a worthy individual of a position.
"programmes"
When Colonel MacGregor talks, we should listen.
I know I do.
I hope he’s wrong about the banks or the election,, but I wouldn’t count on it
We know the devil’s minions will fight tooth and nail to stop Donald Trump…
…..but this time the fight is ours to win
Did you hear 50,000 MAGA folks turned up for Trump’s Rally yesterday in a tiny town in South Carolina
We will not be denied
Is it time already for the quadrennial “this will be the last election ever if [blank] wins” and “most important election our lifetimes, for real this time!” stuff?
While he seems to be politically lost in the weeds he was a good soldier.
His unit shot the Iraqi Republican Guard Talwakana Division to pieces in Desert Storm.
I recommend his book “Warriors Rage’’.
If the banks shut down, distance won’t
matter. This (if it happens as predicted)
will be akin to the series known as
Naked and Afraid. I got no problem
with eating snake meat and boiling my
drinking water.
There will be no lights, no gas, no
groceries.
I don’t think the banks will be focused
too much on your home mortgages, or
those paying rents on their apartments.
So, hunker in place.
Not only is he politically lost, he’s historically lost. His view on the long-term goals of Putin are amateurish at the least and naive for the most part.
Wonder if he remembers what happened after Hitler got the Suedatenlands back?
Hint: Andrea True? singing “More, More, More”!!!

I know I am prepping and I am voting for the meteor. It is well past time for the stupid grasshoppers in this society to suffer from their stupidity. This ant is sick of carrying them all summer.
Despite the shellacking Zeepers here give him every time I bring him up he seems to have an amazing grasp of military strategy both at the tactical and strategic levels and yes he’s not always right in his predictions. Still he is correct more often than not compared to our current administration and military now.
Yep. National Security Advisor is the role I have in mind for him too. The DC Establishment doesn’t like him so they won’t confirm him for anything. So Trump should just appoint him to that which the Swamp can’t do anything about.
One thing not openly discussed right now, if you reviewed business and shut-downs in China (particularly Shanghai) since January...it’s a huge amount of downturn. Export out of the harbor has dropped dramatically, and airport passenger traffic is remarkably low (lot of the duty-free shops are closed, and KFC/Starbucks are the only places left open in the Int’l side of the airport to eat from).
I would suggest toward the end of the year...there’s going to be some realization that China’s money-luck has run out. US banks which hold some interest, will have a problem. That’s probably the first sign of serious shortfalls within the US economy.
If he is to be credited with an “amazing grasp of military strategy” then he has to have a track record of correct predictions. That’s the point.
Where is that track record?
From what I can see all he has is a lot of assertions that sound good to a certain audience. He pleases their amour proper. He flatters them. He may eventually be right sometime, but AFAIK he hasn’t been right yet.
As for strategic or military thinkers, IMHO, MacGregor mainly impresses people who have no background in this area. He may be the first person they have heard being substantive on these subjects. This is not MaGregors fault, it is that of his audience, who are naive and thus easily impressed.
When China’s money luck runs out the US stock market’s luck will run out too. All of those investment bankers that insisted on pouring every cent into china will be lining up to jump out the window. The great reset is not going to be pretty.
