Hi Badboo.
you are pretty much correct in your assessment but the deciding factor won’t be age/fitness/ability — it will be location.
If you out in rural Colorado or up in Northern Michigan and countless other places away from the big cities, and you have the basic equipment and skills then yeah your chances are much much higher of weathering out a supply chain catastrophe.
places like the NYC metro area will be a survival of the fittest situation.
Can you imagine if all the bridges and tunnels to Manhattan were effectively blocked off/blockaded. except for those who can escape through the water, then how long can a concrete island of 2 million people last??
a few weeks at most.....
those cute little Soho rooftop sustainable gardens will be devoured instantly.
The Island of Manhattan, can currently sustain maybe 500 people on it’s own. They would have to farm Central Park for produce and eat fish and rats!
