I can’t name better choices. But I can say that anyone and everyone he should have picked, should have been people far, far removed from government, DC and the Swamp.

Sadly, it would appear that he was given a list of acceptable candidates from McConnell and that is what he had to roll with.

I can only name the ones that were ALLOWED to be confirmed by McConnell and Schumer. Folks like you seem to forget that Pres Trump, any President, doesn’t just give those folks a job and tells them they start tomorrow. There is a process you obviously don’t know about.

Nomination....Senate Committee hearing(which sometimes leads to them not even making it out of the committee hearing)...full Senate vote

So, if the gate keepers of the Senate Swamp, McConnell and Schumer, don’t want anyone, that anyone ain’t getting through. There are exceptions, but not many.

Flip that to folks like Soetero and Clinton, pretty much got anyone they wanted because the Republican’s didn’t want to seem too partisan or obstructionist.

And if I remember correctly, Pres Trump tried to nominate quite a few folks who turned him down, citing they couldn’t leave their businesses. I’m thinking they had zero interest in the Democrats and media digging into every aspect of their past or trying to find out if they were mean to a girl on a playground when they were 5. And I can’t blame them.
