Remember in 2017 the PGA moved the World Golf Championship from Trump Doral to Mexico. This move ended the 54 year PGA Tour affiliation with Doral.
That was until LIV-er Brooks Koepka won the PGA Championship. :)
As I recall, that WGC Championship in Mexico City was a pretty miserable event. The players weren’t happy. The PGA goal was to snub Trump.
Remember, the Saudis screwed over LIV. In the agreement, the head of PGA can dissolve LIV any time he wants. All the stock goes to PGA golfers, none to LIV golfers.
Seems some are not aware or don’t care that two of the Saudi hijackers were associated with the FBI.

As Schlabach noted, the three-day team championship was “originally scheduled to be played Nov. 3-5 at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. LIV Golf League officials have been working to move it back to Trump National Doral, where it was staged in the league’s inaugural season in 2022. The Jeddah event, now scheduled for Oct. 13-15, will be the final regular-season tournament.”
