YouTube has been posting a lot of good old flicks lately. Yes, there are commercials but not too much - certainly less than television.
Horrid, horrid movie.
I saw it in a theater in 1969, but I found it boring.
A long movie, and the Teilhard de Chardin character is played as sympathetic and earnest. He was a heretical saboteur and a fraud (Piltdown Man). Movie was way too long.
I am also doubtful of the final solution of the Vatican selling works of art to rich people and museums to buy food for Red China to feed its people, allowing the ChiComs to spend what money it had on building more armaments.
Do you think Laurence Oliver may have over-acted his part?
Sometimes drama can quietly slide into the rut of
melodrama.
