Re-try the “study”, and perhaps off-the-shelf turmeric/curcumin works just as well... if not better.

But then they don't make money.

I’ve been using Turmeric for years for arthritis. Recently we had some house guests and I missed taking Turmeric for about a week. My knees started hurting and I realized that I hadn’t been taking the Turmeric. The knee pain was gone after a few days of getting back on the Turmeric. Makes me wonder what other inflammation it could be helping with.
