A friend of mine is a pediatric surgeon. I have a great admiration for her intelligence, her drive, and her skills.

But wait. She recently told me that she has been doing transsexual surgeries on children. This caught me by surprise. It certainly did! And it greatly disappointed me.

I don’t know what to make of this. No, I do know what to make of this. It’s wrong, it’s just wrong. So I must reluctantly let her go as a friend. I cannot square that circle.

The poor kid has no idea of the consequences of this surgery, how they will be at risk of horrific complications and that they will never be truly the opposite sex.
