Nope. But the FFL dealer keeps a copy for 20 years or until stopping being a FFL.
The ATF can request to see them (not take them) when tracing a gun purchase.
Now, the states are different. Some keep ‘background check’ records at the state level, ‘for the life of the gun’. Was supposed to be only for 90 days. So that is a ‘gun registry’ in that state.
Get your law degree before going to the gun shop. And the law will have changed anyway. And everyone you interact will have a different perception of the gun laws.
I guess, at the end of the day, whose information is it? Is that information the property of the bank or of bank customer?
Courts and other companies make quite a bit of money selling information to companies like Accurint, TLo, Clear, LexusNexus, and many more.

The folks who run things are neither R’s, D’s, Marxists, Progressives, or Fascists.
They are just power-hungry monsters. We’re fighting a blob that only cares about money and power. Not an ideology.
If being D’s helps their goals, they are D’s. If being R’s . . . If being Marxists . . . etc.
