A baby was rescued from a searing hot car in southern Texas earlier this week after the kid’s family accidentally left the keys in the vehicle.

Footage of the rescue taken by a bystander shows the scene unfolding in the parking lot of an HEB in Harlingen, which is at the southernmost tip of Texas.

[snip]

The bystander who filmed the scene told outlets that what was not recorded was a woman who climbed through the broken front windshield to reach the baby and hand the child out.

The heat index for that day was more than 100 degrees.

A situation such as this is an example of a dad's love for his child coupled with toxic masculinity plus a group of people working together equals a community. A community working together for a common goal which was rescuing that child.

For many this is not "big" news, but to me it shows that it is the media and government that is attempting to divide the people of our nation. They WANT people to be at each other's throats. However, humanity in people will prevail and would do so more if the left did not work so hard to divide us.

That child is one who really does need to be taken from the parent.

Good post. The more we unite as one, Americans, the more we will be able to defeat the anti-family, white marxist/black fascist Left and their anarchist thugs.

“break side glass...unlock door...much easier...cheaper to repair...”

It depends upon where the child is located in the vehicle and your concerns that glass will be scattered possibly into the child’s eyes.

Also, when you are busily getting children out of their car and booster seats, it’s easy for a young child to swing a car door shut before you have removed your keys. I learned the hard way that my car doors lock if the keys are out of the ignition and you shut the doors. If you lay the keys on the seat along with your phone and purse while you remove groceries or children, etc, and the door shuts, you are out of luck.

I do not fault the parents for the locking in of the child. That stuff happens. They immediately realized the problem and with the heat levels right now, they knew they had little time to act. Breaking the front windshield might have been the most expedient thing to do in the circumstances in order to rescue the child safely.

“what happened to the parent of the child?”

He is apparently the one who accidentally locked the child in the car. He is also the one who broke the front windshield. Someone else (smaller I assume) crawled in and handed the baby out to him. I assume since he didn’t abandoned the child or deliberately lock the doors, nothing happened to him.

Taken away from the parent? Unless there is something I’m missing in the article, the mother accidentally locked the keys in the car. That warrants a child being removed from a parent?

Have been having similar thoughts lately but can’t imagine ever having expressed them nearly as well, or as impactfully, or frankly with as much evidence of subtlety and depth, as you just did. Bravo! You must have been inspired by the heroism of it all.

Fox desperation for relevance?

Lock the idiot parent in a hot vehicle tomorrow and see if they ever forget their child again.

I stand corrected. I should have read the article. My bad. I see so many of these stories where the parent left them in the car on purpose. After a while you become conditioned to think this is just another story like what you’ve read too many times already. On top of that, we are also conditioned with the stories of stupid people & their stupid actions. I guess that’s my cure that I’ve been awake too long. My day started at 3 A.M. when I woke up & never could get back to sleep.

” Bravo! You must have been inspired by the heroism of it all.”

Why thank you! Yes, I admit I was inspired a bit. After reading story after story of situations where people attack or divide with no chance of reaching common ground, I thought people would enjoy (as I did) a group of strangers working together without regard for political opinions, skin color, or economic/social positions. The bonus was it was for the benefit of a child that so many these days want us to believe is not of importance and thus disposable.
