A Georgia mother of three and former pageant queen has been arrested in the Bahamas for allegedly plotting to kill her estranged husband, a former Auburn University football player, according to reports.
Lindsay Shiver, 36, was caught when Bahamian police accidentally stumbled on her alleged scheme to murder hubby Robert Shiver, 38, while they were investigating a different case, Bahamas Court News reported.
Two men, Terrance Bethel, 28 — identified by the outlet as Lindsay Shiver’s lover — and Faron Newbold, were also arrested in the alleged hit scheme.

When I taught in Eleuthera many moons ago, the locals would say that at the Glass Windows Bridge the Atlantic water was on one side and the Caribbean water was on the other, though technically it was too far north to be part of the Caribbean.
One thing I liked about the spot was that the name was apt: there was no glass, there were no windows, and it wasn’t a bridge.
Guana Cay is north of Eleuthera, directly east of Freeport. The Beatles once did a cover of a traditional Guana Cay tune, “I Guana Hold Your Hand.”
Seriously, a woman marries a college football hunk, who evidently is making a ton of money if he can afford to spend copious amounts of time in the Bahamas, and who evidently loved his wife...and she destroys it all for lust, and THEN adds murder to it, like David with Bathsheba and Uriah. Someone’s always knocking at her door, and it wasn’t Jesus.

Idiocy runs rampant. Quite a few very, very unhappy women out there who chose a life of ‘excitement’ over the love of their family. Men, too. Was once in a nightclub in Norway, ending up at a table with three beautiful young women (truth). One was going on about her new life, with her new boyfriend. She’d left her husband and a two-year old to shack up with the guy and become glass blowers or some such. I let her have it. I figured I had nothing to lose, so told her that the smartest thing she could ever do in her life was to go home (her parents lived in the same town), apologize to her larger family after being taken in by her folks, and then, if he would take her back, apologize to her husband and then spend the rest of her life raising her family and enjoying birthdays, holidays, etc. like a normal person. Silence. Then her two friends jumped in: “THANK YOU. We’ve been telling her the same thing for the last month!” I hope I made a difference. Who knows.
