“A Whiter Shade Of Pale” by Procol Harum - Cover by Emily Linge
I’d like to pay tribute to Gary Brooker with this timeless masterpiece by Procol Harum. This song was inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach.

If Philip Ewell was an actual musician, he'd embrace Bach and any other such composer, recognizing their music of the time and how it influenced musicians through today.
That Nutty “Professor” is a racist fool embracing his self imposed ignorance. Music knows no nationality. We all learn from and are influenced by each other. To refuse learning is to shrink in the scope of one’s knowledge. Most of what I know of JS Bach and his sons, I love.
*Take one of the basics. A piece he wrote to teach his students about the ‘voices’ of the piano;
Prelude in C Major for Piano.
Thats a lovely piece. Not complicated, but extremely flexible. One that could work in its classical form, or as jazz. Very easily. Listen to it, and you will see what I mean.
Prelude in C-Major
Took on new life when given a top melody to Ave Maria

I will be looking that up.
Your link brings me to a very crowded ‘search’ page with many different recordings. Thank you, though.
Bach to the Future!.................
I like the Beatles..............Get Bach!.................
Louis Armstrong’s quote is still valid today.
“There are only two types of music, good and bad.”
Cultural to difficult for some and hated by some but it’s a good place to be.
Money not required to be there.
.
Louis Armstrong!
Wow, try the Ella Fitzgerald channel on Pandora. She duets with Armstrong quite a lot.
No the only 2 types of music are country AND western. /S
Relax and enjoy the music.
Ella and Pops are such a contrast in voices, but it works so damn well.
I made a tape of Ella singing the old standards on PBS back in the 70s. Unfortunately, I wore it out from so many replays.
I have to tell you..
Not only the best cover of that song but, for me, is better than the original due to the simplicity of only a piano and a voice.
Gal has an angels voice.
