It has really a “backwards” pattern for us, for this time of year: Instead of, when we do get rain (generally not much in July or August), the usual dinural pattern of spotty afternoon to early evening t-storms has been traded for “training” storms with often heavy, extended rains, overnight through noon of the next day.
