The dad of missing 13-year-old James Yoblonski passed a polygraph test related to his son’s disappearance Thursday, nearly two months after the boy left his Wisconsin home in a possible attempt to survive “off the grid.”

William Yoblonski, of Reedsburg, told local ABC-affiliate station WKOW that he was given the test by the Sauk County Sheriff Thursday morning — though the distraught father is not considered a suspect in the teen’s June 12 vanishing.

“Maybe that’ll relieve people,” he said. “I had nothing to do with my son’s disappearance.”

Last month, the worried dad said he would remortgage his home in order to offer a $10,000 reward for any information that brings James home.

Polygraph means nothing. Who just lets their 13 year old go live off the grid?

Are you reading a different story? Where does it say they “let” him do anything? I thought he ran away.

My grandfather left home at 8 years old, and never returned, to live on his own because he didn’t want to live by the house rules anymore. It happens, because some kids are just that strong willed that they cannot be deterred.

Not to criticize the father, if the child did leave on his own like that. However, if you have a strong willed child and they want to do something, you are better off teaching them yourself to help them achieve their objective in a safe and controlled manner.

My mom allowed me to. Different time. Different place. I did just fine

I wouldn’t consider it today for anyone

There was a guy in my jr high class whose mother died. His father lived in another state but they guy (I think he was 14) lived by himself until he graduated from high school. He had his father’s credit card to pay for food and stuff and the father took care of all the bills. The guy joined the military upon graduation and is doing well. I can’t see that happening at ALL in today’s world without someone being thrown in jail and the child being put in the foster care system. Plus, today’s kids are broken and couldn’t even begin to either fight for our country or figure out how to take care of themselves.

Today’s kids would be susceptible to the left wing perverts out there.

I think I read that sex traffickers have detailed plans to scoop up unaccompanied minors and hang out looking for them. Runaways and neglected kids especially vulnerable to their scripted sales pitches that lure them in off the streets. Sad.

You can find them at the bus stations sitting alone and looking lost.

When I was 13, my parents sent me off to summer camp for a week. When I got home, I found they had moved and left no forwarding address.

It hurt them more than it hurt you.

Trust me.
