A Target shoplifter who successfully stole a television, only to return it and steal a more expensive one, pleaded that he didn’t want to “go to jail” as Atlanta police chased him down outside the store.
Police received a call around 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 that a brazen shoplifter was trying to steal a television from Target located in Northeast Atlanta.
A Target security guard flagged down arriving officers to inform them the male suspect was still inside the store.
“The security guard advised a suspect had stolen one television from the store and returned moments later to take another,” police said.
As officers began to search for the suspect, they encountered the man leaving the store with the television placed on top of the shopping cart.

I like how the cart-guy just strolls through the scene doing his job as if this happens every day.
Given this is ‘Hotlanta’ the thug is probably already out and on his way to Walmart to try his luck there.
I love the fact that the Target employee bringing the carts back in from the parking lot just keeps strolling by as the cop is wrestling the perp on the ground. Like same old, same old, same sh&t, different day.

The guy bringing in the carts was probably saying to himself “dude - been there done that. Pushing carts is easier than stealing.”
