A Tennessee woman fatally shot a “scared” 4-year-old girl — then claimed to cops she was only trying to give the child a “gun safety lesson,” authorities say.
The suspect had allegedly hit the tot with a sandal right before for failing to wake the woman up and eating food without permission.
Breanna Runions, 25, was charged with murder and aggravated child abuse after allegedly pushing the loaded gun into little Evangaline Gunter’s chest and pulling the trigger at a home in Rockwood on Sunday, WBIR reported.
Runions, who was not the child’s mother, initially tried claiming to officers that she’d taken the magazine out of her 9mm handgun in the moments before giving the so-called firearm lesson, according to the arrest affidavit.
“Runions related that she then called Gunter over to show her firearm safety, at which point she pressed the barrel of the gun into the front of Gunter’s torso and pulled the trigger, discharging a round into Gunter,” the affidavit sai

Felony stupid, or criminally depraved. Either way, put her under the jail for thirty years. She’s a danger to the community.

So the state took the child away from her biological parents and gave her to a woman who killed her.
This happens more often than people realize.

Meth smoking POS. We have a lot of that around here too. Every week in the police blotter there are responses to scores of problems with breaking and entering, can’t get people to leave someone’s house where they don’t belong, can’t evict for notn-payment or damages, people out of their mind going up to random houses and banging on the door demanding entry, sitting on the side of the highway in various states of undress, bursting into stores and shoplifting. Any kind of drug addled or drunken kind of mayhem you can imagine. There needs to be a quick burial ground for the worthless bodies after they are shot and deputies need to learn how to run a backhoe.
She probably should have started with how to properly handle a firearm and skipped the how not to portion.
