Interesting you would mention that. Fans used to come running onto fields all the time. Just today I was watching a YouTube video that showed the last few minutes of the 1984 NBA finals between the Celtics and Lakers. Even before the game was over the fans were standing right along the lines, and as soon as the buzzer hit they swarmed the court. I don't know how the teams made it to the locker rooms safely.
