I bet he can be impeached and convicted in record time.

There are no laws. It’s 2023. There is only Power.

“Winning the 2023 governor’s race...would make this moot.”

I agree, considering the state is 60-40 GOP (or close enough), I suspect that many Conservative voters sat out the 2023 race because the GOP candidate wasn’t ‘pure enough’ for them. So, to them, I guess, they were ‘making a statement’ - to the Democrats, they were a DREAM COME TRUE!

KY GOP must have nominated a Monster from the Dismal Swamp in order to elect this...Dimocrap as their Governor.

If the Governor can ignore the law and appoint a Rat and say go ahead and sue me because by the time the case is actually heard it will be moot.

Then the Rs should do the same by calling themselves into session and impeach / remove him from office ignoring that they cannot call themselves into session.

If the prick breaks the law, hopefully some right minded Kentucky County prosecutor will charge and arrest him. After all, if that tin horn porker in Fulton Co. GA can do it to a former president and current presidential candidate, surely it can been done to the low life dem governor.

The governor will appoint whichever Republican he has the most dirt on and then the governor will run for the seat and use that dirt in the campaign.

All which is why I would prefer to see the Senate GOP caucus only convince McConnel to relinquish his Senate minority leader position, allowing the GOP caucus to pick a new one, after which the Senate GOP can do like the Dims have done with Feinstein, just let McConnel sit till his regular term ends, after which he can be convinced not to run for reelectio in 2026.

How that man was ever elected governor of KY is still a mystery to me. Oh wait, election fraud, that’s right!

I’m just amazed that Biden wanders around like a nursing home resident, Feinstein looks like she’s on death’s doorstep and Fetterman can’t speak in complete sentences, but the only person anyone talks about stepping down is McConnell.

Ignoring the law, it’s what Democrats do.

"Kentucky's Democratic governor already has already made the constitutional case that he can pick a Democrat to fill the seat..."

Like we'd notice a difference.

Ah yes... Democrats don’t need to follow laws.

They control the justice system that would prosecute them after all...

Question for Kentuckians: How did a Democrat get elected governor to a state with two Republican Senators? Say it ain't so!

On average, Democrat Senators and Congressmen are both a couple years older than Republicans. This would seem to indicate that Democrat voters are more comfortable with people who are older and out of touch with new ideas like the the freedom of speech in social media.
