I found a great young lady songstress on You Tube who does song covers from some of the classic 'oldie' songs from the past that I grew-up with and even the more contemporary hits. (Beatles, Bee Gees, ABBA, etc)
She is great, enjoy her music and her voice!
Not bad, but hard to compete with Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound.
Good cover, but it doesn’t make any significant change to the original.
Or, there’s this by The Steam Powered Giraffes - Me and My Baby

It's good to see young people doing something besides rap ... with a c .. and garbage. The old classics have a lot of “real” in them.
Triplets!! :)
Loved this song at the time.
Also another good recording from this era is MAKE ME YOU BABY/Barbara Lews IIRC
The lyrics and tune just right IMO
Would much rather listen to these older tunes than most of
the rap today.
Thanks for the memory.
I tried a couple of her other songs; this was the best of what I tried (I didn’t finish the others).
And wow, an actual nice-looking, attractive woman that hasn’t destroyed her natural beauty with a bunch of tattoos.
That’s nice to see and sadly, becoming a rare thing these days.
