Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez might want her followers to believe inflation is “propaganda” - but her constituents aren’t buying it.
The firebrand Democratic congresswoman used her Instagram stories to share a video from New Zealand’s left-wing Aotearoa Liberation League in which an activist claimed the “propaganda” surrounding inflation was designed to protect “greedy shareholders,” who are truly to blame for the rising cost of living.
But when The Post visited Ocasio-Cortez’s constituents in the 14th district, which comprises areas in both Queens and in the southeastern part of the Bronx, all of them reported economic pain and many said the Biden administration should not be left off the hook.
The White House has repeatedly touted its “Bidenomics” plan to combat soaring prices.
Latisha Law, 41, a certified nursing assistant, single mother of three, and grandmother, paused outside Key Food in the Castle Hill area of the Bronx to say she was struggling financially since the pandemic.
Inflation is real - and the fault lies as much with the government as big corporations, Law told The Post.
“Is AOC crazy?” Law said. “Has she been to a grocery store recently? $1,000 ain’t nothing no more. $100 ain’t nothing no more. Maybe she should spend some time in the projects and really help people.”
Law, like the majority of Bronx and Queens residents interviewed by The Post, did not really know much about Ocasio-Cortez.
Most asked who she was and could not really seem to identify her but all agreed that they are paying almost twice as much for the same amount of groceries and other essentials.
A number reported getting into serious credit card debt because of their struggle to pay bills.

She earned her “economics degree” lying on her back.
I am pretty sure OAC is not feeling much pressure from inflation with her $175,000 salary plus any and all graft she can pull in.
Congress of the Unites States is the best gig on the planet. Name me one out job, where you simply show up when you want, get free travel all over the world, legal insider trading and bribes are overlooked. A freaking goldmine, with out the prospecting.

I really appreciated her candor with her Bolshevik agitating; warned anyone worth anything to get out/stay away from the leftist toilet that elected her. If all politicians were so honest, we’d have more clearly drawn lines and no “swing vote”.
She has the economics IQ of a doorknob.
I’m gonna have to pay attention and see if anyone ever describes conservatives as “firebrand”.

The government teacher I had in high school retired from the Army who spent many years on White House staff. He had stories about JFK and LBJ and he was an astute political observer. He gave us the heads up on Biden even though Biden had only been in office maybe a year but Biden was also kind of local, he was from Delaware and we were in the DC metropolitan area.
Having that man as a government teacher in high school was probably the best thing that could have happened to me as far as recognizing corruption and idiocy on Capitol Hill at the early age, I was able to absorb a freat deal of that information. Another fellow I meant just a couple years later was a retired metropolitan police detective who had worked around politicos his entire life and he used to point out stuff to me just at the local events and dinners etc... where I was working. I would run into him all the time and he would point the rats saying “see that guy there”, and tell a little story detailing what a shyster politician really was and how many of them were around.
So... I got a real nuts and bolts education on this stuff early on, which has stuck with me... and it’s all panned out, add further biblical reference and some philosophical understanding of human nature and there IS nothing new under the Sun.
The problems we have in govt are the direct result of having such an enormous global lemming population!
Did you notice that many of her “constituents” have no idea who she is, but will unthinkingly vote for her by pulling the Democrat line if they even bother to vote.

Reminds me of the Saturday night live skit, when Eddie Murphy dressed up as a “white” guy .... got the free money from the bank ... free stuff at the stores .... he got a look at the “secret “ world that the white folks lived in.

I will give AOC credit for thinking she is actually a good person, fighting the good fight. IOW, she’s genuinely a moron, not a cynic. Biden, IMHO, is irredeemably cynical and evil through and through. In addition to being a moron.
I am sure most politicians, like police officers, acquire a skeptical view of mankind. It takes an effort not to allow skepticism to degenerate into cynicism. Biden has never really made any kind of effort in his entire misspent life.
To AOC, the “world will end” in 7.37 years means that’s when she expects her only asset, her looks, will be gone.
