Update - 10 p.m.
As of late Monday, a representative of the FBI's field office in Las Vegas told Channel 13 that the agency had started to look into the situation.
As for visitors, in town for the Lady Gaga show on Sunday, Ed and Stephanie Congdon stayed at MGM's New York-New York resort on the Strip.
"We became aware of some electronic issues that had (Monday) morning," Ed Congdon says. "It was particularly when we went to breakfast — they weren't doing any room charges, you had to either use your credit card or use cash."
Sources have told Channel 13 manual processes are in place while systems are down. Guests have still been able to check in and out at the front desk of casinos. Guests can request a physical key to their rooms if the digital room keys aren't working. Those can also be picked up at the front desk.

Are they filming Oceans 52 ?
Since the FBI was called and MGM Resorts has reported the issue stems from a Cyber Security Issue.
Calling the FBI indicates to me this was not an ordinary hack, this must be much more serious.
The question is what the hackers are trying to accomplish. Was this a case of hacking the network in order to immediately steal something or was it designed to test a theory or install something that continues to operate after the network is back up and running.
