The crime spike is being perpetrated primarily by the subculture of young, violent inner city blacks taking advantage of neutered policing to let their inner criminal nature run wild, and to a lesser degree by drug-addled derelicts of all races stealing to support their drug habits. Democrats encourage and enable both groups and their criminality.
Just in the last 24 hours in my subdivision, we had a young white guy who looked like a drug-crazed weirdo try to use his car to run over about 20 kids at the neighborhood park, and also had a gang shooting right across the street from it. And this is not “the hood” (or at least didn’t used to be). Prior to all of the insanity perpetrated in the name of George Floyd, the patron saint of criminals, our neighborhood was a nice normal middle-class area. Since then, we have had continuously increasing criminal activity, including constant car and even home break-ins and frequent gunfire at night. When I called the police one night to report yet another incident of gunshots heard nearby, I spoke with an officer who sounded personally exasperated with the whole thing and told me that gangs had been migrating farther and farther south (out of the predominantly inner city black neighborhoods) and into areas they had rarely been seen in before. This is obviously occurring because after the “defund the police” insanity, they realized that no one was going to stop them so now it was open season on “whitey.” It’s happening everywhere.
They’re going to push people very soon to the point of giving up on the non-functioning “criminal justice” system and just taking things into their own hands. Of course, that’s the whole point, I believe, behind this. They want to push us so far that we have no choice but to lash out, and then they spring their totalitarian trap. But it’s a real “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation.
This is not just a problem in Democrat areas.
I’m in Texas and I witnessed a black guy quickly wheeling a shopping cart loaded with beer cases out of and entry door of a large supermarket. He obviously had not paid for it, and his mannerisms gave him away.
