Suppose a foreign country, whichever, mexico, china, Russia, Etc, sent an army to March into San Francisco and then annexed it into their country.
Rhe citizens of San Francisco would now pay taxes to that country and would would follow thier laws.
Would you fight or have your son fight to liberate the city although it's values are very different from your own? Would you view them as fellow Americans that deserve Liberation just the same?
Or would you gave the opinion that is not worth fighting for?

If a foreign army invaded America, regardless of where the invasion happened, I would defend my country. Just because SF is a cesspool, littered with the detritus of communist policies doesn’t mean it is not worth defending.
What I would like to see before even considering a scenario like that is states who practice conservatism, have values and morals and who follow the constitution and the rule of law secede to form a new country. Preferably contiguous, but if not, that’s okay.

I’d have to try to liberate San Francisco. Because here’s the problem. If you let the foreign invader take San Francisco, Portland might be next.
